23rd October 2017
Norwich City Council will pledge up to 50% (a maximum of £5,000) on crowdfunding projects which meet their eligibility criteria. Further details can be found here.
Crowdfunding is an excellent way to raise funds for community organisations, charities, clubs and projects. It gives you a platform to tell your story and helps you raise money from a large number of people. It can give access to other funds and helps to grow your base of supporters.
Furthermore, Norwich City Council are also hosting a workshop on Tuesday 7th November to allow local groups to find out more about crowdfunding and give advice on how to run a successful crowdfunding campaign.
There are going to be two workshops – one at 2pm, which will then be repeated at 6pm. Each will last about 2 ½ hours and will be held at Blackfriars Hall in Norwich. The workshop will include presentations about crowdfunding and the fund from Norwich City Council before looking at the practicalities of what you would need for a successful campaign. Trained crowdfunding coaches will be on hand for group and 1:1 discussions and we hope there will be the opportunity to hear from successful local crowdfunding campaigns.
To book a place on one of the workshops, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and specify which time you would like to attend.
