UEA’s World Access to HE Day celebration – Tuesday 26 November
14th November 2019
The UEA Outreach Team is holding a drop-in event on Tuesday 26 November 14.00 – 17.00 in the UEA LCR in celebration of World Access to Higher Education Day. The aim of the event is to celebrate the different paths taken and the challenges overcome in getting into HE, as well as promoting the groups and support networks on campus that aid students through their time at university.
They would like to warmly invite young people, professionals, and parents and carers to attend if they’d like to find out about support at university. Click here to see a flyer about the day.
It’s a drop-in event so feel free to come anytime between 2pm-5pm. Please email them at email@example.com to register yourself or any groups and individuals you work with. They will follow up any registration emails with information about parking/transport arrangements and where to register on the day.
They can help with transport for any individuals or groups of young people you work with who would like to attend – please email or call on 01603 591960 to arrange this.
There will be information stands to highlight the work that is done to help and support all students, and brief talks to increase awareness of the range of approaches taken to encourage and broaden access to the University. They will also be inviting attendees to reflect on their own experiences of education, with free popcorn for all participants!
